What is the difference between Propecia and Finasteride?

Propecia is a prescription medication used to treat male pattern baldness and to slow down or even reverse hair loss in men. It works by blocking the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, which converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Finasteride is the branded version of Propecia. It is available in the UK only for adult men and will only be available to women.

Finasteride is a type of medication called a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor. It works by inhibiting the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, which converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). By reducing DHT levels in the body, it helps prevent hair loss and reduces the amount of DHT that is produced.

Propecia is used to treat hair loss in men, as well as some conditions, such as male pattern baldness, and also for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Finasteride may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Medicines to treat high blood pressure

In the past Propecia and finasteride were very effective at treating only some types of hair loss, so it's important to be taken as normal.

Dear Dr. Roach:My wife has been using a hair loss treatment, and she wants me to try one more time. We have tried both Propecia and finasteride.

She is using both of these products at the same time, but she is not getting a prescription. Does this mean that she is not using these products regularly?

I just wanted to let you know that I have noticed that I am using the Propecia for about a month. I also noticed that I have some issues with the way the hair goes, and this has happened more than I thought. I don't think I should be using finasteride and not Propecia.

I also have some concerns with the way the hair goes and the side effects, including the thinning of my scalp. I have noticed some hair loss on the top of my head, and there are some hairs that are falling out of my scalp. Is there a way to treat this?

I don't know why propecia works, it only works if you take a pill twice a day and you take one every day. I have seen it on other sites that have the Propecia and the finasteride. I'm not sure how they work. I am using finasteride 1mg. It works, but I have some problems with side effects. I would like to know how this is working? I am using finasteride 1mg for the first 1/2 day of the first 3 months and the hair loss is gone. I know that the hair loss is due to the hair loss, but can't figure out why that is happening. I am taking the Propecia for the first time and have some side effects. I know that I have to take a daily pill to stop the hair loss. I can't find any information on it. Does anyone know about it?

April 10, 2007, 12:15am6

Propecia works. The side effects are not great. The Propecia can also slow down the progression of hair loss. In fact, the Propecia may prevent the balding process from getting worse.

Propecia is a pill that is taken for the first time every day. Propecia works best when taken at the same time every day.

As far as I can tell, Propecia is not as effective as the other hair loss treatments. Propecia has been a great help to me. I would recommend to talk with your doctor about alternative treatments, or if there are other options. I don't know if Propecia is right for you, but I'm going to see if there are other treatments available for hair loss.

Dr. Roach,

Roach: Thanks so much for all this info. I am on Propecia and have had some issues with the way I use the hair loss treatment, but I do know that the side effects are not that bad. I've had no side effects that I can attribute to the finasteride. I do not believe Propecia is the right treatment for your condition.

April 10, 2007, 12:41pm7

I hope you all had the same experience with Propecia. I was on Propecia for 6 months and have been using it for 3 months now. I have had some hair loss on the top of my head, and some of it is getting worse. I am taking finasteride 1 mg. It has been the most effective treatment. It works great. I would recommend to talk with your doctor about alternative treatments or if there are other options.

I have had no side effects that I can attribute to the finasteride. I do not recommend to use finasteride. I have seen that the side effects are not that bad. I have tried the generic finasteride, but I still have some problems.

I will definitely talk to my doctor about the different treatment options that you have.
